Dawn of Hope Day Care Center

FOR THE NEGEDE-WOYIOTO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND HEALTH CAREPROJECT.

A new project, a new commitment, a new challenge for Amici di Marco Onlus.
In 2011 Franco and Silvana visited Ethiopia to find a project to be realized in the next two/
three years, in line with the association mission.
They were looking after an infrastructural project for the young generations in an area of extreme poverty, with a compatible size with the organizational capability of Amici di Marco and with its effectiveness in collecting the necessary funds..

Amici di Marco requested the Vincentian Fathers of Ethiopia to propose different needs and relevant projects, preferably schools or youth centers. The cooperation of Amici di Marco and the Vincentian Fathers is lasting almost ten years and together we visited each proposed project site.
The choice was very difficult, every project had its own merits, but finally we together decided to build a school complex suitable for the scope of the NegedeWoyioto Early Childhood Education and Health Care Project..

Hebo’s Youth Center Is Completed

After the completion of the main building and its opening ceremony in 2010 we worked to
complete the project. In addition to the computer room, already equipped at the time, during the summer we added a playground, a home-video system and the toilets.
