NEW PROJECTS

For the period 2008-2009 our strategic objective is the upgrading to by-road of the severely unmade-up road that connects the closest town of Segheneiti to the valley of Hebo.
The important infrastructural work will cover a distance of 15 Km.
The first stretch of road is relatively easy along the plain of the Sycomores and continues soon after through a narrow and deep valley. Fascinating views but a route beset with obstacles and hazardous to run along.
The project will need an high contribution of man-power thus giving an additional source of income to the population of the valley.
The investment is estimated in € 80-90,000. The first phase of the program will be to lay-down the project and obtain the authorization of the authorities. Not an easy issue and first milestone of the project.

The association will meanwhile restlessly support the orphanage of Hebo

• medical care by regular visits of volunteer podiatrist organized by the association. A further target is to build a training project of the local personnel with the aim to have  a more focused hygienic and sanitary self assistance.
• Last but not least satisfy some of the basic needs such as powdered milk, babies food, etcc….
